Last month etherFAX started the process of achieving PCI Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) Level 1 certification in order to further validate our multi-level encryption and security capabilities that safeguards your business-critical fax operations. PCI-DSS requires that we build and maintain a secure network, assess vulnerabilities, and regularly monitor and test all networks and information security policy.
Following the self-assessment, we engaged TrustWave to help verify that etherFAX’s technical infrastructure adheres to the appropriate guidelines for secure fax transmission.

PCI-DSS Level I is the highest level of achievement and requires a stringent process to validate. A two-part assessment, which includes Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) and Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV) will determine our PCI compliance. We will keep you apprised of our progress.
