etherFAX to Showcase Secure, Cloud-Based Document Delivery Solutions at HIMSS Conference 2019
Holmdel, New Jersey (February 4, 2019) – etherFAX today announced that it will exhibit its patented hybrid-cloud fax technology at the HIMSS Conference and Exhibition in 2019 on February 11-15. The annual conference brings together thousands of health IT professionals, clinicians, executives and vendors from around the world. This year at HIMSS, etherFAX will showcase its new device integration with Lexmark, the etherFAX API for developers, the etherFAX Secure Exchange Network (SEN), and the etherFAX SENx solution offering end-to-end encryption. Each of these provide the healthcare ecosystem with secure document delivery solutions that can easily integrate with existing IT infrastructure and electronic medical record (EMR) applications.
etherFAX SEN is the world’s largest fax network, leveraging military-grade encryption and hybrid cloud technology to provide 100 percent secure communications. Supporting every major fax server, application and fax-enabled device, etherFAX has more connected endpoints providing end-to-end encryption than any other service. etherFAX SEN securely transports unstructured data while complying with government mandated regulations including HIPAA and PCI DSS.
Using methods defined by the Elliptic Curve Integrated Encryption Scheme (ECIES), etherFAX SENx securely transfers information between two endpoints. Each transaction begins with the exchange of public keys, allowing “shared secrets” to be generated to seed the encryption process with unique keying material only known to the endpoints. Information is further protected through signing and authentication mechanisms to assure the validity of the data in transit. etherFAX is the only fax service provider to offer ECIES encryption to subscribers through its APIs.
“Our presence at this year’s HIMSS Conference will be bigger and better than ever,” Paul Banco, CEO of etherFAX said. “As a cloud-based and virtual solution, etherFAX provides new ways for healthcare organizations to securely send and receive information from a virtually unlimited number of endpoints and devices. We are committed to redefining fax communications for the modern era and continue to evolve our secure document delivery platform with new patents, technology enhancements, partnerships, and device integrations.”
By extending Lexmark’s solutions to the etherFAX network in the cloud, customers can securely send documents to millions of etherFAX’s connected endpoints with ultra-fast transmission speeds and guaranteed secure document delivery. Existing customers still have the ability to fax to traditional, legacy endpoints on the public switched telephone network (PSTN). Through the integration, Lexmark customers can now exchange rich, high-resolution content documents within seconds without setting up any additional software, hardware, or middleware products.
