Partner Spotlight: ACDI Extends Communications to the Cloud

Access Control Devices, Inc. (ACDI) is a leading provider of print management and workflow automation solutions. Headquartered in Benton, Arkansas, ACDI works with a global network of office technology providers to deliver innovative software and hardware solutions that help organizations streamline document management, improve efficiency, and reduce operational costs.

Meeting Customer Needs in Critical Industries

For organizations in healthcare, insurance, government, and education, faxing remains a necessary part of daily operations. Through its partnership with ETHERFAX, ACDI helps customers modernize these workflows by extending fax capabilities to the cloud. Through two seamless integrations with PaperCut and Scanshare, organizations can reduce their reliance on outdated systems, improve reliability, and strengthen data protection—all while preserving the familiarity of existing processes.

The partnership began in 2024 with the integration of ETHERFAX’s secure cloud faxing into PaperCut’s Scan to Fax application. To enhance operational efficiency, ACDI’s PaperCut users can use ETHERFAX’s cloud-based network to securely send documents with fast transmission speeds.

The partnership expanded in 2025 with the integration of ETHERFAX into the Scanshare platform. As the first cloud fax connector for Scanshare, ETHERFAX modernizes data exchange and simplifies document management for ACDI’s Scanshare users.

Real Benefits for Administrators and End Users

Both integrations are designed with usability and efficiency in mind.

Administrators benefit from centralized management, allowing them to configure a single device and quickly deploy settings across an entire fleet in minutes. End users gain access to streamlined document workflows, including delivery confirmations and improved visibility into document transmission. The result is a more efficient, secure, and reliable way to manage critical communications.

By extending faxing to the cloud with ACDI and ETHERFAX, organizations across industries can also significantly reduce the costs associated with maintaining legacy fax infrastructure, such as hardware, dedicated phone lines, and ongoing maintenance. Eliminating these outdated systems also reduces IT burden and minimizes the risk of downtime or service disruptions.

A Partnership Built on Collaboration and Innovation

Together, ACDI and ETHERFAX help organizations move beyond legacy systems and embrace secure, cloud-based document workflows that are built for the future. The partnership is highly collaborative, with both teams working closely together on webinars and joint initiatives to showcase the value of the PaperCut and Scanshare integrations.

“We enjoy working with the ETHERFAX team and are always building each other up, whether it’s through webinars, demos, or events. Ongoing collaboration is what we’re always looking for in a successful partnership,” said Rafael Adjunta, Product Manager at ACDI.

Looking Ahead for the Partnership

As ACDI continues to expand its portfolio and incorporates software as a service (SaaS) offerings, the company’s partnership with ETHERFAX is expected to expand as well. While ETHERFAX is currently integrated into ACDI’s on-premise solutions, future opportunities include deeper alignment with ACDI’s evolving cloud strategy, delivering even greater flexibility and scalability for customers.
