A HUGE thank you to our partner, Hyland, for putting on such an incredible CommunityLIVE ’22 event in Nashville. The hosts, venue, agenda, and people in attendance were beyond amazing!
We had hundreds of visitors stop by the etherFAX booth, and two common themes emerged from nearly everyone who stopped by:
- Frustration with their current fax provider
- Why are we talking about “fax” at a user conference in 2022?
We get it. It’s hard to imagine using floppy disks, typewriters, and rotary phones in today’s workplace. These obsolete technologies have been replaced by cloud storage, tablets, and smartphones. Yet, fax machines — seemingly relics of the 1990s — are still being used by 69% of healthcare organizations and up to 75% of all healthcare communications are still processed by fax. In fact, recent studies have pointed to over 9 BILLION faxes a year being sent in healthcare alone. One of the key drivers for fax volume is the growing accessibility and simplicity of fax technology. It’s no wonder why the global fax services market is forecasted to reach 5.47 billion in 2027.
For those that had a chance to stop by our booth at Hyland CommunityLIVE, we were able to demonstrate how etherFAX is creating the off-ramp from fax and the on-ramp to interoperability.
“Our partnership with etherFAX allows OnBase users to add secure document delivery to a fully cloud-based infrastructure,” said Bob Dunn, Vice President of Global Partner Programs at Hyland. “etherFAX’s cloud-based faxing solution supports our goal to deliver an expansive infrastructure footprint for the Hyland Cloud, allowing us to meet customer requirements with agility and scale, while providing additional integrations that support customers’ evolving IT and business challenges.”
