etherFAX Announces Support for Industry-Standard Dialogic Brooktrout Fax Drivers

Denver, CO (August 25, 2011) - etherFAX, LLC today announced support for the Dialogic® Brooktrout® fax drivers, allowing third-party fax server solutions and applications to utilize etherFAX’s hosted telephony infrastructure to manage fax communications via the cloud.  Scheduled to be released in September, the etherFAX® virtual adaptor is fully compatible with RightFAX, FaxCore, FACSys, TargetFax, One Touch Integration Server and other leading solutions that support the Dialogic Brooktrout driver.

etherFAX offers a unique infrastructure as a service (IaaS) solution that extends existing fax server technology to the cloud.  By eliminating the need for costly components of a fax server, fax board, and recurring telephony expenses, etherFAX’s patent-pending technology leverages the Internet to manage all business-critical fax communications.

“Adding support for the Dialogic Brooktrout drivers allows etherFAX to seamlessly support many of the leading fax applications with literally no modification whatsoever,” explained Robert Cichielo, Chief Technology Officer at etherFAX.  “This integration strategy allows third-party solutions to direct fax traffic through the etherFAX network, significantly reducing the cost and complexity of maintaining telephony infrastructure.”

Now supporting both Eicon and Dialogic Brooktrout drivers, etherFAX is compatible with almost all fax applications, giving enterprises the flexibility to leverage their existing technology investment.  etherFAX simply serves as virtual ports enabling fax servers to securely send and receive high volumes of faxes via the cloud instead of traditional PSTN infrastructure.  The added benefit of etherFAX is that there are no locked in fees or contract periods, so customers simply pay for what they use.

“Extending support for Dialogic Brooktrout in addition to the Eicon fax driver allows us to keep pace with the overwhelming demand for the etherFAX service,” added Paul Banco, Chief Executive Officer at etherFAX.  “Fax is widely embraced to transact business across many industries and we look forward to adding capabilities to make this communications method more convenient and cost-effective.”
