Everything In-House

Probably one of the biggest battles for any hosted service is trying to convince your end users that the cloud is safe, secure and more cost-effective than any other in-house solution. For the most part it is just really trying to convince people that the cloud is simply the way to go.  This is what I run up against all the time.  I hear comments like, “We can’t outsource anything,” “Nothing could be hosted, it has to all be in-house,” “It’s not secure enough,” etc.

I could go on and on and write a book about excuses on why people can’t move to the cloud. I often wonder if it is because of job security, ignorance or simply just a lack of understanding.   Most likely the latter, so let me try to clarify and offer the etherFAX perspective. Read more »

Follow the Money

Statistically, opportunities for upgrading existing infrastructures are much greater than start-up or green-field sales. The revenue per transaction will generally be lower than a green-field sale but the total number of transactions will be much higher. This course is also an excellent customer retention strategy. Clients like to know their resellers are continually looking for ways to make their operations more productive. Even if the customers do not act immediately on the advice, they will still appreciate the reseller’s attention.
